The Value of a Wedding Video

February 18, 2016

Think back to a profound moment of your life. How do you remember it? Did you take pictures, or possibly a few video clips on your phone? What’s unique about everyone of us is our individual experiences. Some are extremely profound while others can be the slightest of moments. If that moment happened yesterday sure it’s easy to recall with your friends, family, and co-workers, but how about 10 years down the road? Now I’m not proposing to record every single moment of your life (although that could be edited to a really awesome video down the road), but some life experiences are worth capturing in a way only a professional can capture them. Especially weddings.

Wedding videos give you a unique third party perspective of the day. Whether it’s details of the wedding cake, emotions and reactions of close family members, or simply the smile on each other's faces as the day unfolds, a skilled wedding videographer knows exactly how to capture these moments. Here are some of my personal favorites of these moments we've captured:

The first sample, which happens to be my own wedding story, reminds me of all the little things at the wedding I missed, and it told that story in only a way a wedding film can. Looking back a year and a half later investing in that memory was well worth it. While this might sound cliché, numerous family members, friends, and acquaintances have expressed adamantly to me, " I really wish we had video of our wedding".  Yes, I wish you had video of your wedding too. While you will remember the big moments of that day, only a wedding story video can make you feel a part of that day again everytime you watch it. To me, that's priceless.
